A song you change the words to when you sing it:
When this song came out in 1979 I had a cassette recorder and I used to record the charts on it by placing it next to the radio or the TV. Add to this to the fact that the tapes I had weren't that great a quality and you get very poor recordings. Because it was my first recorder I thought the fact that we could record things was brilliant! But....I really thought this song was called 'Appon-pallong anna pollong-wah!'
I sang this for ages until I heard a clear version of it a couple of years later. I told my friends about my mistake and now it's became one of those songs that me and my friends ALWAYS sing the wrong words to.
